Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Hisabchi ("हिसाबची") at hisabchi.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

When you create an account, you must explicitly accept the current Terms and Privacy Policy (and may optionally opt in to promotional messages). We record acceptance time, policy version, and related metadata for compliance.

Service Provider

Hisabchi is operated as a business software platform for Indian small and medium businesses. The legal operator is Hisabchi, Rajasthan, India (GSTIN: 08AETPN8404L1ZS).

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must have a valid Indian mobile number for OTP-based login
• You must be operating a legitimate business in India
• One person may only create one owner account unless we approve otherwise in writing

Communication Consent

Transactional messages (required for service): By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you consent to SMS, WhatsApp, email, or calls needed to operate your account — including OTP verification, security alerts, billing, subscription status, trial-ending and renewal reminders, payment receipts, and important service updates. These are not marketing messages.

Promotional messages (optional): Product news, offers, and tips are sent only if you separately opt in at signup (or later where we provide a preference). Opting in to promotions is not required to use Hisabchi. You may withdraw promotional consent anytime by contacting support@hisabchi.com or through account settings when available.

Free Trial & Read-Only Mode

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required.

After the trial ends, or if a paid subscription expires, your workspace may enter read-only mode:

• You may view existing data and read-only reports
• You may export or download data (CSV, Excel, PDF) where available
• You cannot add, edit, or delete records until you subscribe or renew

Subscriptions, Payments & Pricing

• Plans may be billed monthly or yearly through Razorpay (or other payment partners we designate)
• Our website may show promotional or list prices (including strikethrough amounts). The price charged at checkout is the amount confirmed on the payment screen and in your subscription receipt — not necessarily the list price shown for marketing
• Current paid tiers include Starter and Premium (monthly and yearly variants as offered in the app). Feature limits (companies, users, modules) depend on your active plan
• We do not store your full card or UPI credentials for subscription checkout
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal
• When you cancel, paid access typically continues until the end of the current billing period shown in the app (we cancel renewal with Razorpay at cycle end where supported)
• If payment verification in the app is delayed (e.g. network issues), activation may complete within a few minutes via our payment partner webhooks — refresh the app or contact support if read-only mode persists
• Paid access may end sooner if a renewal payment fails and is not resolved within any grace period shown in the app
• All subscription payments are non-refundable (no refunds for partial months, years, unused time, or change of mind) unless required by applicable law
• Pricing changes: we may change list prices, checkout prices, or plan packaging with notice; existing paying subscribers will be informed before changes apply to renewals where required
• Non-payment: overdue accounts may enter read-only or restricted access until dues are cleared

Refer & Earn Program

Hisabchi may offer a voluntary Refer & Earn program. Participation is optional and subject to these Terms and any in-app rules shown at the time you participate.

Eligibility & attribution

• Only registered users with an active Hisabchi account may participate as referrers
• Referral links and codes must be used only with the consent of the person you invite
• A referral is attributed when a new user signs up using your valid code or link and creates their own workspace
• Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fake signups, or the same mobile number used for referrer and referee are not eligible
• We may cap the number of referrals per referrer per month

Rewards

• Rewards apply only when your referred user completes a successful first payment on an eligible yearly subscription plan (as shown in the app)
• The reward is calculated as a percentage of the amount actually paid on that qualifying yearly purchase (currently 10%, unless we change the rate with notice)
• Monthly plans, trials, refunds, chargebacks, or reversed payments do not qualify unless we state otherwise
• Rewards are shown in your in-app wallet as pending, then approved after a holding period (currently 7 days), then may be paid out subject to the rules below
• Approved rewards must be withdrawn within 180 days of credit; unused balances may expire

Payouts

• Withdrawals require valid payout details: account holder name, bank name, and UPI ID
• Minimum withdrawal amount and payout method are shown in the app (currently minimum ₹1,000 via UPI)
• We may verify identity or payment details before releasing funds and may withhold or reverse rewards in cases of fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or Terms violations
• Referral payouts are separate from subscription billing; tax reporting (including TDS, if applicable) is your responsibility unless we are required by law to deduct or report

Changes & termination

We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program at any time. If we end the program, you may still withdraw approved balances within the expiry window shown in your account, unless prohibited by law or fraud review.

No Accounting, Tax, or Legal Advice

Hisabchi is a software tool only. We do not provide accounting, tax, legal, or compliance advice. You are solely responsible for data accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, including GST.

Your Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

• Illegal activities, tax fraud, or misrepresentation of records
• Accessing another tenant's or user's data
• Reverse-engineering or extracting source code except where law permits
• Uploading malware or bypassing security controls
• Automated scraping or harvesting without written permission
• Unauthorized bots, scripts, or integrations
• Overloading or disrupting the service for other users
• Spam invoices, impersonation, or fraudulent billing
• Reselling or sublicensing the service without consent
• Referral fraud: self-referrals, fake accounts, incentive spam, or misrepresenting the program

Intellectual Property

All rights in the Hisabchi platform — software, branding, UI, and content — remain the exclusive property of Hisabchi and its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence for internal business use during an active subscription or trial.

Your Data & Backup Responsibility

You retain ownership of business data you enter. We act as a service provider processing data on your instructions. You are responsible for periodically exporting and backing up your records. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Data Retention

• Active data is retained while your account or workspace remains active
• Deletion requests are completed within 90 days, subject to legal holds
• Inactive trial workspaces (90+ days) may be permanently deleted after reasonable notice
• Limited billing, audit, and compliance records may be retained longer where required by law

Security & Multi-Tenant Disclaimer

We implement industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, tenant isolation, and access controls. However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

Features may rely on third-party providers (Razorpay, MSG91, cloud hosting). Hisabchi is not responsible for third-party outages, though we will use reasonable efforts to restore integrations promptly.

Beta & Experimental Features

Beta or preview features are provided "as is", may contain bugs, and may be changed or withdrawn without notice.

API & Integrations

Unauthorized integrations, bots, scrapers, or automated access are prohibited unless officially supported by Hisabchi.

Service Availability & Modifications

We aim to keep Hisabchi available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

Force Majeure

Hisabchi is not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages, cyberattacks, government actions, natural disasters, or infrastructure failures.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hisabchi shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, fraud, non-payment, or security risks. You may request account deletion by contacting us; owners may export data during any grace period.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Rajasthan, India. Parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution within 30 days before formal proceedings.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated via the app, email, or SMS. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
